Valentines Day Gift for a Guy!

Hey everyone!  It’s been a whirlwind of a weekend around here!  My hubs and I have been celebrating our anniversary….we’ll be married 26 years on Valentines Day!
Friday I received a beautiful bouquet of pink roses…just lovely!  I wanted to do something special for my honey too, but I couldn’t exactly buy him flowers. SO, I decided to do something I knew he’d really like.
This would be a great idea for any man on your list.
First I took the carton to his favorite soda, which happens to be ALE81…it’s a soda made just in KY and he loves it!

Then I decided to gather up some yummy stuff……

All his favorite things….

I got all his favorite candy bars in the snack sizes….a buck each at the Dollar Tree….

I also picked up some craft supplies like: Chenille pipe cleaners in red…

Tissue paper, gift bag shreds, and some sticks. Yes, I said sticks! I tried to find some wooden skewers, but they didn’t have any, so I got these decorative sticks instead…figured they’d do the same job…..

I cut down some of the sticks in different lengths and then started taping all those yummy snacks to the sticks like this…..

Then I started inserting the sticks down into some styrofoam I stuck down in the carton.  See….

I continued to stick in his snacks at different heights…..

After I got all the snacks in place, I wanted to add something for filler.  I took the chenille pipe cleaners and wrapped them around the handle of a wooden spoon.  I took them off, stretched them out a smidge and added them to my manly bouquet!

Can you see him hiding in there?  I added about 6 to the whole thing…

Then I stuck in some gift wrapping tissue into the back of the carton, like this…..

I also used some of the gift wrapping shreds to fill in some empty spots here and there.
