Could You Vote for Me…and Surgery Results

Hey ya’ll! I have a couple of things to tell you! I wanna let you know about my hubby’s surgery, but first I need a favor! I entered Not Just a Housewife’s 2012 DIY contest and I need your vote! I’m a little behind in asking for votes, so I’m probably behind in the contest right now, but I know you guys you can help me! The prize is a $250.00 Home Depot card and I could really use that in my master bath. (oh boy could I..it’s a mess in there!)  :0)  Anyway, all you have to do is visit Not Just a Housewife’s website HERE,  and vote for me at the bottom of the page. It’s my window seat and I’m #4!  See!!….

Not Just a Housewife DIY contest

I’m ridiculously excited to have just made the top 10……there were 559 entries!!!  Can you say humbling?! Wow!  Anyway, all you need to do is go to the bottom of page, and click the little circle by my window seat and vote.  I’d really appreciate it! There’s only a couple of days before it ends, so vote, vote, vote and spread the word to your buddies! :0)  Thanks in advance! Even if I don’t win, it sure was fun to know my window seat was appreciated. :0)

Now for the IMPORTANT news!!

I can’t tell you how much your kind words meant to me concerning my hubbies surgery. Please know I wanted to contact each one of you back, but I’m playing nurse and this is all I have two seconds for right now . :0)    So THANK YOU!!!!! I love you all!!TJ’s surgery was a complete success! The doc said everything went perfectly and we got to come home the same day.  It did take him FOUR hours to wake up because he has sleep apnea, and his body didn’t want to get rid of the CO2, so they let him sleep a lot of it off.  He’s in some pain now, and has a horrid sore throat, but his arms and shoulders no longer hurt and that’s a wonderful thing. He’s been in pain from that herniated disc for over two years.  We were so blessed to have a wonderful doctor who really knew his stuff!

Thank you again for your prayers and support…you all are some of the best people on earth! I love blogging because it has given me some amazing friends, but I sure wish you all lived closer so I could hug your necks!

Blessings and big ol’ hugs from me to you!

Missy

I voted! Congrats on the top 10-but I'm not surprised, your window seat is awesome!
Happy TJ's surgery went well, and that it has helped some of the every day pain already. Take good care of that man, but remember to take care of yourself too. :)
hoping for the speediest of recoveries, and he's back at it real soon!

The top 10? Seriously? That is so incredibly awesome but then my dear friend you are one very talented lady so it is no surprise! I'll be sharing this on my FB page and asking those I know to pass it on... you really do need to win! I am so happy TJ is already pain "free"! Get a little rest yourself... ok? I'll chat with you later!

Take care now,
Peggy

Went right over to vote for you. I'm glad surgery went well. I've been away from reading blogs as there's been a project I helped my SIL with--getting my FIL's house ready to sell. Lots of work, but it looks good! So my prayer will be one of thanksgiving for you and your husband.♥♫

I voted. And I truly think yours was the best one there. Some of the others were big budget projects and yours was a perfect reuse/recycle, frugal, wonderful job. A well deserved spot in the top 10! Good luck.

Glad your hubby's surgery went well.

I'm so glad to hear that your hubby made it through the surgery and is home. You take care of him, but also take time for yourself, because if you get down, you cannot do anything for him!
I will continue to send up prayers for you both!!! Hugs, hugs!

And of course, not only will I go vote, but I will ask my blogging friends to do the same!!!
