The continuing saga of the Cabinet Cliffhanger... Ok, it's just a cabinet update, but it was a fun title! :)

I'm making a little headway on my cabinet project! If you have just started following my blog you can find out more about my cabinet project here, here and here!

I have started the painting process on the cabinets as you can see in this pic...

I started out by using this...

I wanted something that would block stains too and this stuff has worked great!
After THREE coats of torture because I hate to use primer,
I have started painting with this...

It's a latex, semi-gloss, bright white paint....seems to be doing the job.
(and it's environmentally friendly with zero VOC's..good for my nose too....no smell!)

Here is what I have painted so far!
Actually a little more than this...I have that other set already primed too. :)

This is a tiring, tedious job, but it's gonna be worth it in the end! (I hope!)
I know many of you are ready for me to get finished with these, but it takes a lot of time and I've also been gone for a few days so that kinda hindered my progress.
I promise I will be showing you more soon....
as soon as my arm stops throbbing from all this painting! LOL
:-)

I can't WAIT to show you where I'm putting them and what I'm gonna be putting on them! I'm SO excited!
hee hee hee!

This is indeed a HUGE job. But it looks like it is going to be fabulous! I can't wait to see the end result.

I did get your email and will respond shortly.

Thank you so very much for your kind words and support.
May your open door only reveal beautiful things.

What a huge job! I would be so intimidated by redoing a piece of furniture that large. I know it's going to be beautiful and I can't wait to see the finished cabinet.

They're looking good Missy. I hate painting furniture. I'll paint walls any old time. I guess that's why I'm lagging in getting my own cabinet doors painted. :) Loved your patio post too. Mine is all tore up at the moment waiting for grass to come in... so was nice to enjoy yours. Have a great week.

They're looking great. I soooo hate painting furniture, but it's so worth it in the end. Don't push yourself. We're not going anywhere. lol.

Missy,

We just scored a commercial sprayer from a professional painter on Craigs List. If only we lived closer! It's going to look great (all your finished projects do!)

Your Friend,
Deborah
