Great finds and sweet gestures! AND Treasures & Trinkets

OKAY, we have loads to cover today, so lets get to it!~
:)
The first thing is a great find at a garage sale!!
WOO HOO, I just LOVE garage sales!
Where else can you get gently used (ok, not always gently used, but still useable) stuff for pennies!
Here is my most recent find.........you ready for this?!

A brand new.... still in the box, NEVER been opened, set of French White CorningWare!

Yep, 11 beautiful pieces!!....
and here it is all spread out on my stovetop!

I got it for $10.00!
I've spent that much on one piece, so this made my day!
I LOVE cooking in this stuff!
It's lovely to look at and can go straight to the table!
I sound like a commercial, but it really is a great product! (and no they didn't pay me to say that! lol)

I LOVE me a good bargain!

:o)

NEXT!

I have to give some lovin' to two of my fellow bloggers!
I swear I have some of the best friends in the world!!

First!
You remember when I re-did Carson's room?
Well if you missed it, you can find it here!

I did it in a military/history theme
 with airplanes and military memorabilia.

WELL....

One of my readers, (and sweet friend!) Robyn from Whimages, (sweetest gal you'd ever want to know!)  saw it and let me know she had something to send Carson for his new room!
I didn't tell him anything was coming, cause he
has this BIG thing about getting packages in the mail
and he would have been asking me every two seconds,
"is it here yet, is it here yet"?
How many of you have one of those kids! LOL
But oh the joy the day it arrived and I told him he got a box in the mail!  He had just asked me earlier in the day why he never got mail. (the kid has issues with getting stuff sent to him,
but don't we all! lol)
Anyway, he ripped open the box and here's what he found...

Isn't this the sweetest way to wrap a gift?!
He was so excited just to get to this point, here he is ripping it open!

(His hands are blurry in the picture because he was ripping so fast!Note the furrowed brow....he's serious!)

Here he is after finding the most adorable little plane in the world!
He posed for this picture and then ran off to his room to play with it!

Thank YOU Robyn for making my little boys day!

LOVE IT~!

My next bloggy lovin' goes to Deborah from the Fairfield House.
This lady really knows how to show a girl she cares.

Many of you know I just had surgery a couple of weeks ago,
and I was pretty miserable for a while.
Well, one day I was sitting at home feeling pretty pitiful, when the doorbell rang.

My son ran down to answer the door because I wasn't running anywhere, and this is
what he brought up to me......

I opened up the box and found this....

I was feeling special already and hadn't even opened it up and didn't even know who it was from!

Under that lovely golden fabric was
this most amazing  bouquet!

I have to tell you I cried!
(and no, it was NOT the percocets I was taking for pain!!)
It was the knowledge
that someone out there thought enough of me to send
me a wonderful gift....it wasn't the gift of the flowers either,
it was the gift of friendship and love!

Aren't they spectacular!
They look kinda red in the pics, but they are a deep
beautiful pink...don't know why they look red, but I love them!

I feel so very blessed to know so many of you
wonderful bloggers out there...
you truly know how to touch a girl's heart!
Thank you Deborah and Robyn, you both make me feel loved!

Now, one last thing!
It's Treasures and Trinkets Thursday, so
show me some linky love!
Post anything you like...I'm so easy to please!
:-)

Oh and one more thing (I sound like Columbo!)

Corning ware things are some of my favorite cooking/serving pieces, too. We used to have an outlet store in Loveland, but it's gone. When Sarah took me to one in Denver I thought I'd choke at the prices. For an outlet, they were expensive!! When I got my large serving pieces, they were so reasonable. (long ago);D

Blog friends are the best! ♥♫

Ten dollars for all the beautiful Corning Ware? That was a steal. In fact, you better lie low in case the police are looking for you. :)

I love the little plane Robyn sent Carson! It compliments his room perfectly. His smile and the twinkle in his eyes say it all.

There is a proverb: Flowers leave some of their fragrance in the hand that bestows them.
I'm so happy you enjoyed the bouquet.

Your Friend,
Deborah
