The Bold and the Beautiful…. Be NICE! :)

bold and the beautiful

I am so excited to be part of a very unique blog hop. Gail @My Repurposed Life and MeganDVD @ Beauty in the Attempt are hosting “The Bold and the Beautiful-your blog reviewed”.

Please take a look around my blog, check out the layout, pages, buttons,  sidebar and gadgets. I would love for you to gently critique my blog. I’m hoping you will leave me some positive feedback about my blog. It would be great if you could give me constructive criticism but be sure to tell me what you like about my blog too! Do you like my pictures? Does my blog load quickly for you? How about the font?  Is there something else you’d like to see that I’m not currently doing? All tips and tidbits welcome!
You are welcome to join the party, it starts Thursday night and is open for a week.
Hugs
Missy

Missy,

Don't fix what ain't broke. You can't improve on perfection.

PS You should link up to my party -- "You're lucky I blog at all now stop complaining and read." [Yes my Jersey is showing. LOL]

Hello!!

I love the sweetness of your blog...it feels like someone's home, you know?

A couple things I noticed...the bright blue text looks a little off compared to the desaturated browns, pinks and greens in the background. A blue with a little more grey in it would look really nice :)

Your photos are really beautiful...loving the cottage "after" pics and that beautiful whatchamacallit up high on the sidebar. I'd love to see more of your photos shared across your header :)

I love your blog Missy! I love the background, your photos are great, and it loads really quickly. Your blog has personality, and feels "cottage-y". So many have super contemporary styling to the blog, and then are talking about cottage style - it doesn't mesh well to me.

Hello! You know I love your blog! :) All I would "change" is to give us more pictures. I always enjoy those here!

Hi Missy,
I just stumbled onto your blog today. I really like the content. I love cottage/romantic type blogs. However, I have one *teeny* suggestion. I'm not a huge fan of the patterned background--I think the words in the background distract from the text of the blog. Personally, I prefer solid or very subtly patterned backgrounds. Otherwise, I think the font is the perfect size and everything else looks great. I hope this doesn't come across as overly critical being that I'm not a blogger myself. I just love to look at blogs :)

Hi! I'm a new follower visiting from the blog hop :)

I like it all :) My one suggestion is to maybe move up your profile pic and blurb. That way you are introducing yourself sooner :) (I need to take my own advice and do that too :))

thanks so much for linking up and adding our blog hop code! You rock!
I'm thinking your post might look better if it were left justified instead of centered. I know you're new to wlr, so that might be it. I love your background and your header! It's so you!
one more gentle suggestion, can you change the colors of your twitter? It seems to clash with all your prettiness!
thanks so much for being brave and joining in the fun. I hope it wasn't too painful!

Hello my dear! Thank you for linking up your lovely blog. I can already tell your a romantic at heart. I think your blog is quite sweet and I also think the blue is quite daring with the pink. I do think the pink background helps calm the overlay of words in your post. I like a solid background, but the pink does a fine job of this. That pesky twitter though breaks up the lovely colors you are trying to establish. My gentle suggestion is to move up your followers so after one reads your blog, they immediately can link to your lovely world. Once again these are just gentle thoughts. I know that taking a risk and putting yourself out there is very scary, but you should feel so proud and empowered. I hope that you are not a no-reply when dealing with comments. I always love being able to respond to my bloggers. Also...if you need anything, Gail and I would love to help. Just let us know what we can do. :)

Have a great finish to the weekend, and I hope this is the beginning of seeing more of you in little blog world. :)

Cheers~
